Reforming American Healthcare

The first step towards reforming American healthcare into a free market is to clearly articulate and consistently defend the moral and political principles of such a system.

The second step towards reforming American healthcare into a free market is to understand the root causes of the problems facing the American healthcare system.

The third step towards reforming American healthcare into a free market is to create a movement around passing health policy solutions as steps towards such a system.

Without such a movement any steps towards freedom in healthcare will result in three steps backward to more governmental controls, as has been the case for decades.

But with such a movement we will have the intellectual clarity and moral confidence to keeping fighting for our individual rights in healthcare, and know that we are not alone.

Read AFCM’s declaration of principles to learn about our policy solutions, such as expanding Health Saving Accounts (HSAs) and granting the same tax benefits for individuals as employers (‘tax-equity’) to purchase their own health insurance.

What follows is our featured work on how to advocate for and organize a movement around passing health policy solutions as steps towards a free market in healthcare.
